Welcome to Day 24 of the Ballads of Suburbia Cyber Launch Party! Stephanie December 6th, 2012 6:38 PM. Pre-order it now and you can enter a huge contest (check this blog) or get it when it comes out. I just finished reading Ballads of Suburbia a couple of weeks ago; it blew me away- one of the most relateable books I've read in a long time. Till it drowns out the silence. The characters write their own ballads to explain their own story, which makes the book super cool. The blurb featured above doesn't even come close to doing Ballads of Suburbia justice. My guest today is Stephanie Kuehnert, author of the YA (Young Adult) novels I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone (MTV Books, 2008) and Ballads of Suburbia (MTV Books, 2009). In fact the book probably wouldn't exist if it weren't for Mr. This is not your regular dose of girl-meets-bad boy-but-finds-her-way-back-to-the-right-side-of-the-tracks kind of YA fiction. I want to read this one as well. Stephanie is the author of I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone, and Ballads of Suburbia, which has one of my favorite covers of the year and is high on my TBR pile. Then there's the rare punk ballad, the ballad of suburbia: louder, faster, angrier . As you probably guessed from the title Ballads of Suburbia, this book (and pretty much all the writing I do) was heavily inspired by music. Ballads of Suburbia by Stephanie Kuehnert is another book that deals with “beat”. If you want to read more YA books, try Ballads of Suburbia by Stephanie Kuehnert.
